How to Remove an Egg Stain from a Rug

1. Gently wipe the stain with a sponge damped with ammonia and water, failing that try a mixture of alcohol and water (never use hot water).

2. Blot the stain using a clean white 100% cotton dry towel and pressing down very hard from the outside towards the middle. Do this repeatedly, turning the folded towel over and over untiliy you have absorbed as much moisture as possible.

3. When you blot the spot move the towel in straight lines, never rub in a circle as this can cause permanent damage to your rug.
